North Florida Women's Care is Tallahassee's premier women's health medical group. For over twenty years, North Florida Women's Care has provided obstetric and gynecologic medical care to women who live in and around the Tallahassee area.

North Florida Women's Care has assembled a highly trained, professional team to address the health care needs of women throughout all stages of life. In doing so, we provide timely preventive care, including well woman and prenatal care, we deliver babies for both normal and high-risk obstetrical patients and we diagnose and treat women's health problems.

Arthur Clements, MD, PhD

Arthur Clements, MD, PhD

Arthur Clements, M.D., Ph.D., is a native of Tallahassee, where his father also practiced obstetrics and gynecology for over 40 years. Dr. Clements received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Florida and his Ph.D. from Florida State University in Nutritional Biochemistry. He completed his medical training at the University of Monterrey and residency at Tulane University where he received the Dr. Lee and Dr. Bohm teaching award and served as the Administrative Chief Resident at Charity Hospital. . He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Diplomat of the National Board of Medical Examiners and the District 12 Section 1 Chair of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Alexander J Brickler, MD

Alexander J Brickler, MD

A.J. Brickler III, M.D., a Tallahassee native, received his Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University and his medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine. He completed his medical training in 1986, where he served as Administrative Chief Resident at Howard Hospital, and went into private practice. Dr. Brickler is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Alexander Franz, MD

Alex Franz, M.D., is a native of Marianna, Florida. He attended Chipola Junior College before earning a B.S. degree in Chemical Science from Florida State University. He received his MD degree from the University of Florida college of Medicine in 2000. Dr. Franz completed his training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 2004. Dr. Franz is a fellow of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology having received his board certification in November of 2006.

Kenneth McAlpine, M.D., graduated from the University of Notre Dame where he earned his bachelor's degree in Psychology and Art. He received his medical degree from the University of Miami. . Dr. McAlpine completed his residency at the University of Florida Health Science Center in Jacksonville. He is a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology.

Vikki M. McKinnie, M.D., is from Sneads and a native Floridian. She received her Associate of Arts degree from Chipola Junior College. She continued her undergraduate education at the University of Florida and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Science. She graduated with highest honors in May 1997. She received her medical degree from the University of Florida in 2001. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.

Christopher Sundstrom, M.D., grew up in Tallahassee and attended Maclay high school. He graduated from Florida State University Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Exercise Science and went on to attend the FSU College of Medicine. Dr. Sundstrom completed his residency training in Pensacola, FL at Sacred Heart Hospital where he served as the Administrative Chief Resident. Dr. Sundstrom is currently board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a member of the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
